SOLUTION
Japan is a country that lives amidst a strong combination of tradition and modernity. Its intention is to celebrate Japanese culture and the aesthetics belonging to it both currently and historically.A bamboo illustration is included on the historical side due to its status as a symbol of prosperity and a cherry blossom is illustrated on the modern side because of its representation of renewal. The security patterns in the sky are part of a series of patterns from ancient Japan that are known as ‘Wagara’. On the historical side is the ‘Seigaiha’ (青海波) pattern which symbolizes peace and good luck. The modern side incorporates ‘Asanoha’, a symbol representing growth.
